I simply cannot overstate how happy we are with our mother's recent move using The Senior Movers. We have had a rough couple of years dealing with our parent's medical issues, necessitating multiple moves. The last move was done by Senior Movers, as we just recently learned of them through the assisted living facility that our Mom was moving to. Best movers EVER!! I have moved frequently, unfortunately, but this was the least stressful move ever once I met the guys and let them do what they do best! Very friendly, courteous and professional! Hiring The Senior Movers was one of the best decisions I made when I needed to move my 90 year old mother from Assisted Living to Memory Care quite suddenly. It was already a stressful and emotional experience and it helped that we had a compassionate moving team. They understood our urgency and worked to schedule us quickly (Chelsea was great). Jonathan, who coordinated the move, came to visit us the week prior to the move. He was so kind and sweet to my mom and put me at ease also. He arranged for pre-packing the day before the move and was considerate of our needs, including my work schedule. Although I was unable to be there, I received phone calls from Brandon for clarification and to provide info for the following day. The day of the move, I had 4 professional, polite, and respectful young men arrive (on time): Larry, Taylor, Lance, and Matt. They were all great. They were cool, calm, and collected, too, which certainly helped me through what was for me a very challenging transition. They were so helpful in setting things up in her new apartment. They were patient with me as I tried to decide what would make my mom feel the most comfortable in her new home and they even made some great suggestions! I feel they really went the extra mile and I would highly recommend them!! In addition, they are very prompt in responding to any of your concerns or questions.

Like others, this was a last minute move for two 90+ year old sisters moving from a rehab facility (after falling in their independent living apartment), into an assisted living facility across town. My parents moved to a senior-living apartment with The Senior Movers. 3 men packed and moved heavy furniture from a multi-level house in 2.5 hours and then moved the items to the new location. By 2:30 pm the apartment was set up. We were happy with the care and service the guys provided.

I used the service of the Senior Movers recently to move my mother from one asssisted living place to another. I was very impressed by the manners of the two men doing the move and the way they wrapped everything carefully. They were prompt and courteous. I did think the pricing was a little high, but we did get good service.

The Senior Movers did a great job with the move. The movers were on time, friendly, and took great care to wrap items with blankets and plastic wrap. The only issue I had was that one sofa leg was left on the sofa (the others were removed for transport) and the leg got cracked and now I have to order a replacement. All else was done to my satisfaction.

Both times I could not have been more satisfied with the professionalism of the two workers. What I found especially helpful was the advice given as to how to organize the furniture into the bedroom she was moving into. I had been wrestling with the problem mentally quite a bit in preparation but the worker SAW immediately how each piece would be best positioned and executed that vision. This was a great aid to finishing off a very big day.

The Senior Movers moved my 87 year old sister from her home to a senior assisted living apartment on June 28th 2019. The three young men arrived promptly at 8:30am as scheduled. They were very efficient in removing her belongings and furniture, making sure to wrap and protect all the items that required protection. All items were delivered in excellent condition and then they unpacked the items and put them away at my sister's new apartment. We called Senior Movers based on a recommendation from the apartments my mom is moving too. We have had experience with other movers over the past year and I have to say that these guys are the best!

There were on time and ready to go. Both movers were friendly and accommodating. They were very careful with all my mom's things and even managed to move a heavy antique that other mover's weren't able to do. They are very respectful and have worked with many seniors moving their belongings. Best of all they were not overly expensive. Most services for Seniors charge top dollar, but I felt they were fair and did not overcharge. I highly recommend Senior Movers!

The Senior Movers were GREAT! They moved my mom out of her condo into an assisted living community. They set up all her furniture and were so careful with everything. I recommend them highly!

The Senior Movers did an excellent job with my parents' move. They moved from one assisted living facility to another but also needed items moved from the basement of their condo. Moving from 2 different locations went smoothly. Paul responded promptly whenever I needed to contact him and they were able to accommodate our last minute needs.

Utilized this company for moving my 88-year-old mother from her home of 64 years into a senior independent living facility. The two young men who were our movers were familiar with the facilities rules (e.g., use of the correct doors for which apartment, etc.). They were courteous and attentive to my mom and the rest of my siblings and myself. Very thankful we used them.

My Dad's move with the Senior Movers couldn't have gone smoother. It was a was a great experience for my Dad and the family. Curtis and Will were both very professional, kind and patient. I highly recommend The Senior Movers based on the service they provided me on two separate occasions. The first encounter was when we needed to move my 93 year old mother into assisted living. They provided a reasonable estimate and were prompt and courteous in moving some of mom’s select belongings from the house to her new home. Since my brothers and I all lived out of state, it was critical that we had this reliable, timely service.
My second encounter was much more involved. Mom agreed that she could no longer live alone, so we had to prepare the house for sale. This involved sorting through 37 years of belongings, clearing out the house and preparing it for sale. I contacted Paul to schedule trash removal and delivery of select furniture items to charity. We scheduled the activities, then at the last minute (Friday night at around 5pm) our realtor convinced my brother and I that we needed to deconstruct my dad’s basement workshop to get the best value for the house. At the last minute, I contacted Paul and he was able to schedule a 30 yard dumpster and two of his staff to assist in filling it up. When the dumpster did not arrive from the provider as promised, Paul read them the riot act – managed to get it delivered early the next morning and also rearranged some of his scheduled moves so that his staff could still assist me before I flew out of town. The dumpster arrived the next morning, his people were there to help, and we managed to fill a 30 yard dumpster in a little over 2.5 hours. They also toted away the residual furniture for donation.
I couldn’t be happier with the result. Paul worked with me and made sure he could support me within the time constraints that I was under.

From the first phone call everything went really well. Paul was on time, gave us a quote within a day or so and then handled everything. They helped us figure out what to keep, what to donate, what to sell on consignment and then packed, labeled, moved and then unpacked, re-assembled furniture and put everything where my Mom & Dad wanted it. My parents are in their new home and I can't imagine doing it without The Senior Movers.

Moving my mom into her next phase of life is one of the most difficult life events I've faced. I vetted a couple of moving companies before choose The Senior Movers, and now that my mom's move is complete, I know I couldn't have made a better choice. They took care of every detail, and even helped us unpack at the end so we could be finished faster with setting up our Aunt's new residence. I give the experience 5 stars. the best!

The Senior Movers were an excellent choice when moving my father. They were exceptionally courteous and considerate to my father and myself. They took extra care with his furniture, wrapping delicate pieces to ensure safety during the move. The gentlemen that Paul hired were kind and helpful when rearranging furniture in our new place and putting all pieces / bookshelves, etc. back together again. How likely are you to use the Senior Movers again in the future?: Paul and The Senior Movers' team promised to make it easy and DID! They provided a firm quote for packing and moving my mom. They delivered as promised. My mother couldn't believe they could pack, move and unpack her, the way she would do it herself, but they did. Mom was blown away with the team and the work they did.

What would you like to see us do differently/better?: I'm not sure how they could improve. Paul came out to quote the move within a day or two of my first contact. They arrived on time, did a great job and were happy to help my mom arrange her furniture, even if it took a few tries to find the right spot.

The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. They moved the furniture, dropped off furniture at family members houses, and at the Salvation Army. I received three quotes for moving my mom and as soon as I met Paul Burkhardt, he was hired. He and his crew were courteous and respectful throughout the entire move. They were professional, on time, careful with the furniture and very accommodating and understanding. Paul and his crew went above and beyond what they were required to do. We were most impressed by the service provided by Senior Movers. Paul Burkhardt and his Assistant were very polite and professional. They arrived on time and very efficiently packed up and moved our items. When the arrived at American House, some furniture had to be rearranged in order to move ours in. Paul Burkhardt came back to the condo where a television had to be removed from the wall and repaired the wall two weeks later, which was the first time I was available. His willingness to do that at my convenience, and to help us load some additional items was above and beyond the original contract; and indicates his dedication to customer service. Senior Movers came and helped a friend of mine move within her senior community. They were awesome and very professional. They went above and beyond and I would recommend them to anyone.

It's especially nice to know of a moving service that will transport the property of the elderly and make the transition in doing such a smooth process. The assisted living place where my mom recently moved to recommended The Senior Movers. I live out of state and was able to pay a deposit, along with a date and time to move. My brother and sister who observed the actual move said they were very pleased with the service. The Senior Movers handled the furniture with care and made good use of time concerning the issue with the couch being unable to fit through door. We will highly recommend service to others.

The movers arrived on time, handled the items with care, and were efficient. I liked that they were friendly and respectful. They placed the furniture where my parents wanted and even moved it around after they changed their minds. Moving from a house to senior living is stressful and emotional and The Senior Movers were patient with that. I will recommend them to others.

My husband and I live in Chicago. My mom lived in Michigan. The Senior Movers moved my mom into an Assisted Living Senior Community. We loved their work and the extra time they spent with us to help us through the process.
